Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
RTS Power(up 20.0%), Technopack .(up 18.55%) and Maha Corp Ltd(PP)(up 15.38%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 292.59 points up at 63392.24, while the 50-share index, NSE was 79.8 points up at 18838.15.
In the Nifty50 index, 31 stocks traded in the green, while 19 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as , Technopack Polymers Ltd., , and HLV Ltd. hit their fresh 52-week high, while , , , Global Longlife Hospital and Research Ltd. and . touched their new 52-week low during the session.
