Aaftab's narco analysis test was conducted at the Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in the national capital's Rohini, Delhi Police officials said earlier today. Aaftab was brought by Delhi Police from Tihar jail where he is currently lodged, to the Rohini hospital around 9 am for a narco test after a Delhi court gave permission for the analysis.

After the narco analysis test of Aaftab Poonawalla, accused in the Shraddha Walkar murder case, was successfully completed on Thursday, a four-member team will visit the Central jail tomorrow for the 'Post-Narco Test Interview'. According to the prison officials, the arrangement was made keeping in view the security of the accused who was recently attacked outside the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) office in Delhi.

Sources stated that Aaftab’s responses matched thedisclosures he had made to police and in the polygraph test. Aaftab had told investigators he had killed Shraddha in the heat of the moment. He said he cut her body into pieces using saws and knives and threw the pieces in forested areas, mostly in south Delhi.
The source revealed that Aaftab was asked 20-25 questions related to the case. These included whether he was solely involved in the crime, how he killed Shraddha, where he disposed of her mobile pho ne and clothes, and where he had dumped the various body parts.
While Aaftab was found medically fit in tests after the sessions, sources disclosed he fell unconscious a couple of times, the effect, according to experts, of being administered the ‘truth serum’. He had to be tapped and woken up when this happened. After the test, the accused was put under observation for two hours before being returned to jail.
When the examiners asked Aaftab where he had hidden Shraddha's head, the alleged murderer couldn't pinpoint the location and only vaguely recalled where he gotrid of it, a police sour ce said. The narco analysis test conducted on Thursday at a hospital in Rohini went on for two hours. Five people, including two doctors, a psychologist and two photo experts, were present in the operation theatre when the test was conducted.

Shraddha Walkar murder accused Aaftab Amin Poonawala underwent a narco analysis test for almost two hours at a Rohini hospital here on Thursday as part of the ongoing investigation in the case, officials said. Officials said Poonawala's narco test was completely successful and his health condition was absolutely fine.
According to the law, experts said, confessions before a magistrate are admissible evidence and benefit police in solving a crime. However, those through video conference and reported in the media do not build any case in favour of the investigating agency as they have no legal validity.
