Ludhiana: Ludhiana police on Tuesday evening booked a man for allegedly committing unnatural sex with neighbour’s pet dog.
In his statement to the police,
Gurjit Singh said that his uncle had a bitch — German Shepherd — at their home. His uncle’s family had gone to a wedding when the accused entered their house by scaling the wall.
Gurjit said he was in the washroom when he heard the cries of the pet. As he went towards the room, he saw the accused commiting the crime after tying legs of the dog. He said he made a video of the act as proof after which the accused ran away from the spot.
After the incident, they informed the police about the matter. Later, Shimlapuri police registered a case under Section 377 (unnatural offences) of the IPC and relevant sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1960.
Inspector Parmodh Kumar, SHO, Shimlapuri police station, said raids were being conducted to arrest the accused.
