Jaisalmer: The troops of Indian Army’s Sudarshan Chakra Corps carried out the ‘Sudarshan Prahar’ exercise in the deserts of Rajasthan on Tuesday.
Lt Gen AK Singh, GoC-in-C of Southern Command, witnessed the exercise, which involved synergised application of offensive power supported by new technologies in an integrated all-arms environment, showcasing high level of professionalism and offensive spirit. He complimented the troops for the high standard of training and operational preparedness.
AOC-in-C, South Western Air Command (SWAC), Air Marshall Vikram Singh and Desert Corps Commander Lt Gn Rakesh Kapoor were also present at this exercise, which was conducted by Shahbaaz Division of Sudarshan Chakra Corps.
“The exercise focused on synergised application of combat power through integration of force multipliers and practising new battle techniques and procedures,” said a communique from the Army.
Lt Gen AK Singh and Air Marshall Vikram Singh also jointly visited the troops in forward areas along the western borders and reviewed the jointness and interoperability of Indian Army, IAF and BSF during various operational scenarios. tnn
