Patna: Panchayat member's son shot in Gaurichak

PATNA: Criminals gunned down the son of Usfa panchayat member at Sudiha village under the Gaurichak police station area in Patna on Monday. The victim was identified as Virendra Kumar (21), son of Rampreet Ravidas and ward member Kiran Devi.
The incident took place around 6am when Virendra youth was going to drop his father at a bus stop on Patna-Gaya road. Around six miscreants intercepted them and fired two rounds before fleeing the spot.
The body was later sent to Nalanda Medical Hospital for postmortem. SHO of Gaurichak police station Krishna Kumar said the murder took place over a political enmity.
"Police have recovered two empty cartridges from the spot. An FIR has been registered against one Subodh Paswan and six others of Sudiha village in connection with the case. Raids are on to arrest them," Kumar added.
