BJP misleading people, spreading lies in its charge sheet, says Cong

Jaipur: Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee president Govind Singh Dotasra hit back at BJP for ‘misleading’ the people of the state by releasing a charge sheet against the Congress government on Sunday. He called that ‘charge sheet’ a bunch of lies spread by the BJP leaders against the state government to hide the failures of PM Narendra Modi’s government.
“PM Modi had promised the people of Rajasthan to make the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) a national project through which 43% of the state’s population will get drinking water. Also, two lakh hectares were to get water for irrigation, but they backed out which has angered the people,” said Dotasra.
Further charging the Union government, he said the government has failed to reduce inflation and unemployment due to their ill-feted economic policies. “The rich are becoming richer, and poor have become poorer. The report says that under the BJP rule, more than 20 crore people have come below the poverty line which is a matter of shame,” said Dotasra.
Talking about the allegation that the Congress government didn’t deliver on the promise of jobs in the charge sheet, Dotasra said despite severe problems like Covid-19, the government generated 1.32 lakh jobs for youths. “In addition to 1.32 lakh jobs, one lakh jobs are under process and one lakh jobs have been announced in the budget 2022-23. On the contrary, only 1.5 lakh jobs were given in five years of the previous BJP government.
Claiming that 10 lakh jobs will be created out of their investment signed with corporate companies, he said, “Congress government signed MoUs for the investment of more than Rs 10.50 lakh crore by industrialists in the state which is a remarkable achievement.”
Refuting the allegation of not waiving off loans, he said the Congress government has waived all the loans of cooperative banks taken by the farmers.
