Mercury dips in state; Churu and Fatehpur coldest at 4.6°C
Jaipur: With mainly clear sky most places witnessed a dip in the mercury on Saturday and minimum and maximum temperatures were below normal notch. Churu and Fatehpur remained coldest where a minimum temperature of 4.6°C was recorded, the Met reports said. Met office stated that the temperatures will further dip in the next 24 hours. Some places are likely to have a minimum temperature of 4°C or below on Sunday.
People in Jaipur woke up to the coldest morning of the season so far as a minimum temperature of 10. 6°C was recorded in the city. Continued dip has also affected normal life, especially the number of morning walkers at the city parks. Also, the municipal authorities have made elaborate arrangements for those who are compelled to spend their lives on roads. Despite an afternoon with mainly clear sky a maximum temperature of 28.3°C was recorded in the city. Mercury will further dip in Jaipur and during the next week minimum temperature of 8°C or below maybe witnessed in Jaipur.
Churu and Fatehpur were followed by Chittorgarh where a minimum temperature of 5.5°C was recorded, Sikar 6, Bhilwara 7, Alwar 8, Udaipur 8.4, Kota 9.3, Jodhpur 10.2, Bikaner 10.3, Bundi and Ajmer 10.5°C each, Jaisalmer 11.4 and a minimum temperature of 14.8 °C was recorded in Barmer. tnn
