New elementary & secondary DEOs in dist

Ludhiana: As many as 35 provisional education service (PES) officers have been transferred in the state. Baldev Singh, principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Sarabha has been appointed as district education officer (DEO) (elementary), while the charge of DEO (secondary) has been given to Harjit Singh, who was posted as the principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Butaheri.
Harjit Singh had earlier remained in the position of DEO (secondary), Ludhiana from February to April, 2021.
Ludhiana’s former DEO Jaswinder Kaur, who had the charge of both elementary and secondary education departments, had been transferred to GSSS, Kangniwal in Malerkotla. In the new orders, she has been given the additional charge of DEO (secondary), Malerkotla. Anita Gulati, who is the principal of GSSS, Kundanpuri has been transferred as DEO(elementary) in Moga.
Harjit said his main focus would be on all-over development of schools and infrastructure, while Baldev said that quality education as per the latest policies would be his main focus.
