Coimbatore: The DMK on Saturday announced new office-bearers for the medical, engineering, information technology, environmental and NRI welfare wings, and members for the audit committee.
In a press release, DMK general secretary S Duraimurugan said Kanimozhi N V N Somu was appointed the state president of DMK medical wing, while M Senthilnathan, of Erode; E V Ve Kamban, of Tiruvannamalai; and K Varadharajan, of Pollachi, were appointed its vice-presidents. MLA Ezhilan Naganathan was named the secretary of the wing. Durai K Saravanan, of Cuddalore, and Ku Karunanidhi, of Tiruvannamalai, were appointed the state president and secretary of the engineering wing, respectively. MP K Shanmughasundaran and Ve Umakanth were named the vice-presidents of the engineering wing.
Mannargudi MLA TRB Rajaa was, meanwhile, appointed the state secretary of the information technology wing and R Mahendran, of Pollachi, its joint secretary.
The party named Poongothai Aladi Aruna the state president of the environmental wing and Karthikeya Sivasenapathy the secretary of the wing.
North Chennai MP Kalanidhi Veeraswamy was appointed the state president of its NRI welfare wing, while M Mohamed Abdulla was named the secretary of the wing.
