‘Guv must lead all-party meet to Mhadei’

Panaji: Opposition leader Yuri Alemao on Saturday urged governor P S Sreedharan Pillai to lead an all-party delegation to the construction sites where Karnataka is making attempts to divert water from River Mhadei.
Addressing a valedictory function of Goa Sampurna Yatra which was organised by the governor, Alemao said, “Sir, people have more expectations from you. People want you to lead an all-party delegation to the construction sites where attempts are being made by Karnataka to divert the water from our lifeline, mother Mhadei. Goa is looking forward to you to direct the government to resolve the unemployment issue. We are looking with hope that you will intervene and ensure that there is no pilferage in the commodities of the public distribution system,” he said. tnn
