‘Spectrum 2022’ aims to improve quality of teaching
Nagpur: Saraswati Vidyalaya’s ‘Spectrum’, the city’s first two-day multilingual education conference began for the collaboration and skill enhancement of state board schools. It aims to impart the criticality of networking to improve the quality of teaching methodology. This event was inaugurated by pro-chancellor Vedprakash Mishra, Saraswati Vidyalaya’s alumnus on Friday.
Resmi Umesh, headmistress of Saraswati Vidyalaya, explained the marvellous seeds of innovative learning this conference will sprout in the future. Mishra elaborated on the concept of collaboration and its functioning, “Schools must have a symbiotic relationship while holding their identities and assisting each others’ win. This collaboration should be conducted not only in terms of education but also with morals. We must not await policies and take steps toward betterment of ourselves,” said Mishra.
The first day started with the energetic participation of teachers in the plenary sessions, platform and poster presentation. The ‘Role of Teachers as Observers’ was the topic of the plenary session conducted by South Indian Education Society coordinator S Prabhuraman. This rousing session discussed the efforts and dedication vital in teachers. Prabhuraman emphasized the importance of communication within and beyond the classroom and shared the teachings, mistakes, and the dos and don’ts from his experience.
The esteemed panel of Dr Jayashree Yelekar, Nita Subodh Chaware and Dr Premlata Tiwari were the judges for the platform and poster presentation. The participants were given seven minutes to deliver their presentation in their preferred language.
The first day concluded with a note on the abundance of enriching lessons and acknowledgments from various speakers. The second and final day of the conference on Saturday will comprise of a plenary session, group discussion, poster presentation, student discussion and a valedictory ceremony.
