On the first day, various trade reports suggested figures ranging from Rs. 6 to Rs. 7.5 crore. However, this is still lower than Varun Dhawan’s last movie, Jug Jug Jeeyo, released in June this year. Bhediya is expected to gain more traction during the weekend and to see a growth of about 50 percent on Saturday, followed by 30 to 40 percent on Sunday. Considering the present state of affairs, it seems like a big challenge for Bhediya to continue with the same momentum in the coming weeks. The movie has been released in 3D.
As far as the movie is concerned, Bhediya is a novel concept by Niren Bhatt and directed by Amar Kaushik, who brought back the horror-comedy genre with his successful film Stree in 2018. Varun Dhawan is being hailed for his outstanding performance. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan, while the Sachin-Jigar duo provided the music. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao have made special appearances in the film.
