Rajasthan: Deaf and mute dalit woman gang-raped in Barmer

JAISALMER: A 20-year-old deaf and mute dalitwoman has been allegedly gangraped at Dhorimanna town in Barmer district on Thursday night. She has been admitted to the hospital. Police have started a hunt for the accused.
Police said, the woman had gone to graze cattle near a field. Meanwhile, two to four youths came in a Bolero and raped her. They fled after seeing the villagers. She was shifted to hospital immediately.
According to Dhorimanna SHO Sukhram Vishnoi, police reached the spot after getting the information and started inquiring the people. After check-up by doctors, it appears to be rape. Police have formed four te ams and started searching for the accused, he said.
According to SP Deepak Bhargava, till now things are not clear as the woman cannot speak. The accused are yet to be identified.
