The BJP on Friday said the vigilance directorate's report on "irregularities" in the construction of classrooms in Delhi government schools shows Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is only "worried about black money flowing to him and not about children's education". At a press conference here, the BJP's national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia cited the vigilance directorate's report on the matter and demanded that Kejriwal either dismiss his corrupt ministers or tender resignation.

BJP picks 40-odd seats for extra effort to counter stiff competition from rivals
Facing a stiff challenge from Aam Aadmi Party, BJP is giving a final push to consolidate its numbers to win the fourth consecutive MCD election. Sources said the party has identified about 40-odd seats, where the rival parties won in 2017 with thin margins. Senior party leaders said while 30 of these seats were decided with a margin of less than 1,000 votes, the difference of votes on the remaining 10 was between 1,000 and 2,000 votes.
BJP, AAP train guns at each other over ‘corruption’
Union ministers Anurag Thakur and Dharmendra Pradhan and party general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya were among 13 senior BJP leaders who hit the campaign trail on Thursday and held road shows across the city. Speaking at a gathering in a park in Vasant Kunj, Thakur hit out at CM Arvind Kejriwal over pollution as well as his ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain over the alleged liquor scam. “He (Kejriwal) said he will make (Delhi) London and Singapore. But is there so much pollution in those cities? Does the education minister indulge in liquor corruption there? Does the health minister get a massage in jail there?” Thakur said while campaigning for party candidate Jagmohan.
Vote for AAP if you want development, clean drains
The Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday began its second phase of campaign for the MCD polls with more than 100 public and corner meetings. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Delhi state coordinator Gopal Rai, Rajya Sabha member Sushil Gupta, party leaders Kailash Gehlot, Mahabal Mishra, MLA Jarnail Singh, Ashok Tanwar, Rakhi Birla and Rituraj were among those who held public talks. Addressing a crowd in Adarsh Nagar, where AAP has fielded veteran leader Mukesh Goel, Sisodia said, “If you want lack of development, vote for BJP, else vote for AAP. Our councillors will bring development with double the energy, and your lanes and drains will be neat and clean.”
