Caste certificates through schools: Collector
Nagpur: District collector Dr Vipin Itankar on Friday said that authorities will start the campaign to ensure delivery of caste certificates and other important documents to students through their schools. In a media statement issued by the district information office, this campaign will be carried out at primary, secondary and higher secondary schools/junior colleges.
For this, camps will be held at schools soon so that the necessary documentation process can begin.
Apart from caste certificates, other documents will include the non-creamy layer certificate, EWS certificates, income certificate etc. Such documents are crucial for admission to higher classes.
For Std I-IV, the camps will be held from November to January. While for Std V-XII, the camps will be held from February to April.
All camps will be coordinated at the taluka level, where a special committee shall be set up. Tehsildar will head the committee, block education officer will be member-secretary, while block development officer and child development officer will be members.
