Nominations for Civic polls to be filed at KMC bldg

Kanpur: The nomination process for the election of mayor, corporators and member Nagar Panchayats will be held at Kanpur Municipal Corporation building in Motijheel. District magistrate Vishak G Iyer, who is also the district election officer, in a meeting held here on Wednesday, finalized the places where nominations will be filed.
Nomination for mayor’s election will be held at room no. 5 at the ground floor of Gol building while for chairman of Nagar Panchayat Bithoor in room no. of the same building. The candidates contesting for posts of members of Nagar Panchayat will file their nominations in room no. 5 and aspirants for the corporator’s post from ward no. 1 to 5 will file their nomination in room no. 15, first floor of the Gol Building.
