HYDERABAD: Scotching all speculations on early assembly elections in the state, TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday asserted the party would go for polls as scheduled in 2023.
Directing all MLAs to work hard in the next 10 months, the CM assured that all the sitting MLAs would be given tickets if they continued to perform well.

Addressing the TRS extended executive meeting attended by all party MLAs, MLCs and MPs, KCR said there was not an iota of truth in the rumours that he was keen on an early election following the victory in Munugode bypoll. He also dispelled reports that the party may deny tickets to some MLAs.
Addressing the TRS extended executive meeting attended by all party MLAs, MLCs and MPs, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao dismissed chances of early election and directed MLAs to work hard and stay in their constituencies.
"Be in the constituency and work in the next 10 months which are crucial. While there are 3.5 crore voters in the state, the party has 60 lakh active members. Adopt Munugode strategy like appointing one party worker for 100 voters, taking welfare programmes to the people and maintaining good relations with party workers by holding social gatherings," KCR exhorted.
The meeting passed a unanimous resolution to fight "undemocratic and vindictive politics" of the BJP government at the Centre. On the alleged attempt by BJP to poach four TRS MLAs, KCR is believed to have said that the BJP even tried to approach his daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha and that they would go to any extent to pull down non-BJP governments. The elected MLAs have to be cautious about such elements, he said.
"We have over 100 MLAs, still the saffron party is trying to bulldoze the government with its conspiracy. If we get less than 100, then they would definitely make efforts," KCR said, adding that if anybody called them to defect, then they should tell them that they would slap with a chappal.
The CM asserted that all surveys indicate that TRS would hit a hat-trick in the next assembly election by bagging at least 95 seats. He also hinted that the party would continue its alliance with Left parties in the future also.
"We will chalk out a protest programme in Delhi against harassment by central investigating agencies apart from exposing BJP's failure," he said. The CM reportedly commented that all the major political parties, including Congress, have failed to counter the BJP and BRS should make the effort in the coming months.
"Rahul Gandhi is going around in the name of Bharat Jodo Yatra, but he cannot keep his own leaders with the party. He failed to counter BJP and PM Modi, and there is no impact of his yatra. He is not going to Gujarat where assembly polls are being held," the TRS chief said.
