Gujarat: Land surveyor held in graft case in Navsari

SURAT: Anti-corruption sleuths caught a surveyor of the land records department red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 in Navsari on Tuesday. According to the complainant, accused Vilis Patel had demanded the money to measure complainant’s land and issue him documents of measurement.
The complainant had made an online application to get his land measured. After the measurement, the accused demanded him Rs 35,000 to issue measurement documents. After negotiation, the accused agreed to accept Rs 30,000.
