Fourteen cellphones stolen from shop

Coimbatore: Fourteen mobile phones were stolen from PK Mobiles on Saradha Mill Road at Podanur on Tuesday.
Shopowner Punniyakodi had found the lock of the steel shutter broke open on Tuesday morning. Ten new phones and four kept for service, worth more than 1 lakh, were stolen.
Police checked CCTV footage and found a man entering the shop around 12.45am on Tuesday to steal the phones. The same person attempted to steal mobile phones from another shop in the locality, sources said.
A special team has been formed to nab the burglar. Police have registered a case under sections 380 and 457 of the Indian Penal Code. TNN
