SINGAPORE: The Workers' Party (WP) on Wednesday (Nov 16) announced the appointment holders in its top decision-making body, with Ms He Ting Ru appointed treasurer and Mr Nathaniel Koh her deputy.
Mr Koh was unveiled as one of three new Central Executive Committee (CEC) members last Saturday, alongside Mr Ang Boon Yaw and Mr Tan Kong Soon.
Mr Ang and Mr Tan have also received appointments, as deputy organising secretaries next to Mr Kenneth Foo.
Ms He, a Member of Parliament for Sengkang GRC, was previously appointed deputy organising secretary in 2021.
She takes over the treasurer role from Aljunied MP Gerald Giam, who remains head of WP's policy research team with Associate Professor Jamus Lim his deputy.
Mr Koh, now deputy treasurer, takes over from former WP member Raeesah Khan, who resigned from the party in November last year after admitting to lying in Parliament.
Aljunied MP Faisal Manap continues to hold the post of WP vice-chair, and Hougang MP Dennis Tan retains the post of organising secretary.
Mr Leon Perera and Mr Louis Chua will continue to serve as head and deputy head of the party's media team, respectively.
Ms Nicole Seah, who contested the 2020 General Election in East Coast GRC, remains president of WP's youth wing.
Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh and his fellow Aljunied MP Sylvia Lim were earlier elected by party cadres as secretary-general and party chair respectively.
Former party chief Low Thia Khiang was also elected and continues to serve as a member of the CEC, said WP in a Facebook post.
