Dist-level chess championship to be held on November 20

Kanpur: District Chess Association will organize a district-level chess championship in under-9, and 13 age groups in the men and women open group at Ratan Lal Sharma stadium on November 20.
According to secretary, Chess Association Dilip Srivastava, for under-9, the players (boy or girl) must be born on or after January 1, 2013 and for under-13 on or after January 1, 2009. The players of these two groups have to bring their original birth certificate issued within one year after their birth along with a photocopy for entry. Men and women in open group are required to submit a copy of their Aadhar card.
For entry, each player has to fill Google form. The last date to submit entries is November 18. Selected players will represent the district team in the state championship, he said.
Harish Rastogi (885344555) and Kusum Sharma (8979636226) will be chief arbiter and arbiter respectively. The players may contact them for more information, he added. TNN
