Belagavi: District minister Govind Karjol has instructed officials to effectively implement the Jal Jeevan Mission across the district.
He was at a meeting on Monday in Belagavi in the Suvarn Vidhana Soudha (SVS). Having spoken to varoous department officials, he said there was some negligence by officials and work has slowed.
Further, on development work he said that the BIMS super specialty hospital’s work should be done on time. According to a government order “we have transfered three doctors from BIMS”, he said.
“Under the deputy commissioner’s authority we made a committee to keep tabs on the development work. We have planned a place for the Kidwai Cancer Hospital in the Belagavi south constituency,” he said.
Recently, due to heavy rain, several electric poles were damaged. New poles will be installed soon, he added.
He further said that lumpy skin debases among cattle was still a concern. “Our departments are working on vaccination across the district,” he said.
During this meeting, MP Mangala Angadi, MLAs Mahantesh Doddagoudar, P Rajeev, Anil Benake, Mahesh Kumathalli, MLC Prakash Hukkeri and DC Nitesh Patil were present. ZP CEO HV Dharshan other were also present.
Besides the meeting, Karjol mocked former chief minister Siddramaiah, saying that wherever he may contest from, he would lose. He was searching for a constituency, which meant that people had lost faith in the Congress.
