2 killed in road accident in trans-Ganga

Prayagraj: Two persons, including a truck cleaner were killed in a road mishap near Khodaypur village under the limits of Utrav police station in trans-Ganga pocket late on Saturday night.
Police said that an over-speeding truck knocked down a cleaner and a labourer- identified as Naina (50) and Mukesh (26), both residents of Hathras near Khodayapur village when they were inspecting their out of order truck.
Police said that a hunt has been launched to catch the accused truck driver.
Reports reaching here said that a group of 10 labourers along with some horses were on their way to Newada from Hathras when the truck carrying them went out of order.
As the cleaner and another labourer stepped down from the truck to check it, another speeding truck coming from Kokhraj mowed them down and escaped.
Upon being alerted, a police team rushed the spot and brought bodies for post mortem.
