Pant inspects hosp, takes stock of free med scheme
Jaipur: Sudhanshu Pant, the in-charge secretary for Jaipur district, on Sunday made a surprise inspection of Rukmani Devi Prasad Jaipuria Hospital and took stock of the distribution of medicines under Chief Minister’s Free Medicine Scheme.
The senior IAS officer also booked a meal under Indira Rasoi Yojna served on the hospital compound to examine the taste and quality of the food. He paid Rs 8 on his own to buy a token for the meal. He instructed the officials concerned to ensure smooth distribution of medicines and serving of meals.
“Pant had received complaints from people who had come for the meal under Indira Rasoi Yojna and claimed that most of the time server-related problems were causing delays in the issuance of tokens and consequently the serving of meals. Pant issued necessary instructions to sort out those problems,” said a press release.
This was the second day in a row that Pant interacted with government officials of Jaipur district administration.
He had attended a review meeting and issued several instructions to the officials on Saturday, advising them to take up development work as a mission. TNN
