Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Bali for the G20 Summit. The summit is particularly special because India is set to hold the presidency of the G20 Summit from the 1st of December 2022 for a one-year period, and the presidency handover will take place during the Summit in Bali. With the theme of 'Recover Together, Recover Stronger', the G20 summit is hosting leaders of 20 countries, representing around 85 per cent of the global GDP. The meeting is for talks on food and energy security, digital transformation and health. PM Modi will have around 20 engagements during his two-day stay in Bali where, as the next Chair, India will look to speak for the developing countries, which are battling some of the worst consequences of the conflict in Europe, and steer the agenda in a “balanced” manner.
