HYDERABAD: Some of the top global tech companies such as Amazon, Google, Facebook and Micron have their largest centres based out of Hyderabad because TS-iPASS is one of the best industry policies in India that enabled Telangana to issue all permissions to Amazon within 11 days. "This is why Amazon's largest campus in the world is not in Seattle but in Hyderabad," Telangana industries & IT minister KT Rama Rao said while addressing the CII Southern Region Council meeting here on Saturday.
Pointing out that the Telangana story has just begun, he said Hyderabad is also home to the world's largest pharma cluster, Pharma City, that is spread over 19000 acres, the world's largest incubation centre T-Hub and the world's largest prototyping centre T-Works.
"Hyderabad is the city where biology meets technology. Genome Valley is one of the pride destinations of Telangana and now we also have a Medtech Park in Patancheru where Asia's largest stent manufacturing facility is being located. One third of world's human vaccines are manufactured in Telangana and our state is the most progressive and attractive destination for investments, KTR told industry captains as he pitched Telangana.
"The opportunity for India lies in China + 1 strategy," he said indicating that Telangana was gearing up to play its role in this with its world class infrastructure. He also said that state government is keen to promote tier-2 cities as investment destinations.
