GURUGRAM: Three bike-borne youths allegedly robbed a truck driver headed from Alwar to Delhi near Garhi Wajidpur village on Thursday.
According to cops, Sajid Khan, a resident of Nuh's Nagina district, was robbed of his mobile phone and Rs 1,600 in cash. He told police that he and his friend Tasleem were driving separate trucks when the crime took place.
"We loaded flour in the truck in Alwar and started for Delhi. Near Garhi Wajidpur, three youths on one motorcycle came in our way. They were armed with sticks and forced us to stop. One of them snatched my mobile phone and Rs 1,600 from me. When Tasleem raised the alarm, the youths fled after threatening us," Sajid said.
"Teams were dispatched to the spot immediately after we got a distress call. The victim said the accused were calling themselves Kapil, Rohit and Pawan. A case under sections 392 (robbery), 506 (criminal intimidation), 427 (mischief causing damage) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC was registered against the three youths on Friday. Police teams will nab the accused soon," Bhondsi SHO inspector Devender Kumar said.
