AWWA lit fest enthrals with book sessions, gigs

Jaipur: The three-day literary festival ‘Abhivyakti Season 2’, organised by Army Wives’ Welfare Association (AWWA), was inaugurated here on Saturday. AWWA president Archana Pandey said all the programmes held on the first day enthralled the audience. These programmes included poetry sessions, workshops, panel discussions, book releases and interactive sessions.
Pandey also spoke on the role AWWA plays in the uplift of military families. “The journey of ‘Abhivyakti’ and its role in women’s empowerment is immense. This programme provides a great platform for the organisation’s members to showcase their talent in various creative fields,” she added.
Famous stand-up comedy artistes Harpriya Bains and Lieutenant Colonel Ankita Srivastava enthralled the audience with their performance. Swapnil Pandey, the author of ‘Force Behind the Forces,’ had a heart-warming discussion with AWWA members, in which the veer naris themselves shared inspiring and poignant stories.
The ‘Nagma-e-Zindagi’ programme organised in the morning session at Rangayana auditorium presented awe-inspiring poems to the audience. The session ‘Safarnama – Kaagaz Se Kitab Tak,’ organised at ‘Intermediate’ auditorium, was about the literary journeys of writers, editors and publishers. The day’s programmes came to an end with a brilliant performance by the famous Army Symphony band.
