Maharashtra: Rs 2,000 fake notes worth Rs 8 crore seized in Thane, two arrested
Counterfeit currency seized by police.
THANE: The Thane crime branch unit-5 arrested two persons with counterfeit currency notes worth Rs 8 crore from Ghodbunder road in Maharashtra's Thane on Friday.
Based on a tip-off, the accused were trapped by the sleuths near Gaimukh area.
Police seized 400 bundles of Rs 2000 fake notes from their possession.
A case has been registered with the Kasarwadavali police station.
