Bihar: Rohini Acharya thanks people for support to Lalu Prasad

PATNA: RJD chief Lalu Prasad’s second daughter Rohini Acharya on Friday confirmed the news that she will be donating her kidney to him, though she has not mentioned the words specifically. Rohini, through a social media post, said parents were like god to her and she could do anything for them. She also thanked people for their support and blessings they had extended.
It was for the first time that Rohini talked about Lalu’s kidney transplant in public. A month back, her younger brother and deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav had hinted at his father undergoing kidney transplant in November when Lalu had visited Singapore where Rohini lives with her family.
“I can do anything for papa. You all just pray that everything happens in a better way and papa once again raises your voice,” read a part of her post. Though she did not use the term kidney transplant anywhere, she said she was just giving a small part to her father. “A father who gave voice to me in this world, one who is everything to me, it will be a big thing for me even if I give a small contribution,” she wrote.
Rohini said she was grateful to all for their support and wishes, adding it has made her emotional. She also shared a few photos of her with Lalu, including that of her childhood.
Lalu has seven daughters and two sons. His three children are active in politics, including his eldest daughter Misa Bharti, who is Rajya Sabha MP. Lalu’s elder son Tej Pratap is state environment, forest and climate change department minister and younger son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav is the deputy CM of Bihar. Both are RJD MLAs. Apart from them, Lalu’s three other daughters have been married to political families.
Even though away from India, Rohini amongst all her siblings is the most active on social media she gives befitting reply to the opposition through her posts. Be it elections, campaign, RJD event or any political development in India and Bihar, Rohini actively writes on them. She also has a huge following on different social media accounts.
