Sons and wives beat up 71-yr-old woman, booked

Gurgaon: A 71-year-old woman was allegedly thrashed by her two sons and their wives in the Bajghera area after she refused them to give money. Though the incident took place in October, a case was registered on November 10 after an investigation, police said.
According to cops, the victim, Dhanni Devi is a widow and said that on the night of October 22, her sons Karan Kumar and Madan Lal along with their wives Pramod Devi and Shanti Devi, respectively, demanded all the money she had. “When I refused to give them the money, they all hit me with a stick on my hand and fled away. They also threatened me of dire consequences. I want the police to ensure strict action against them,” she said.
Bajghera SHO Aman Singh said as there was no evidence, they decided to probe further. “On Thursday, we registered an FIR against the four under IPC sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) etc,” he added.
