Boys teams of Nurture School, Harmilap Mission School lead with 7 points in inter-school chess
Kanpur: Host Nurture School and Harmilap Mission School’s boy’s teams (Class IX- XII) are jointly leading with 7 points after four rounds in the inter-school chess championship played here on Friday.
Sanatan Dharm and DPS Azad Nagar are jointly at the second place with 6 points each. KDMA International and Pandit Deen Dayal are at the third place with 5 points each. Sriram Panki, Skomia Academy and Jugal Devi are in fourth place with 4 points each.
Nurture School's girls team stood at the top with 8 points after the fourth round. Skomia Academy and Harmilap Schools are at the second spot with 5 points each while Sriram Panki stood at the third place with 4 points.
The fifth and the final round of the event will be played on Saturday. Top three teams from each group will be awarded trophies and certificates. Four board winners in each group will also be honoured.
Satyadev Pachauri MP will be the chief guest at the prize distribution function.
The other results are
Class VI-VIII-(Girls)-Virendra Swarup Kidwai Nagar and the Chintels both 8 points. Skomia Academy-5 points, Guru Nanak Modern School, Florense School, Nurture School Barra and Deen Dayal all 4 points.
(Boys)-Virendra Swarup Kidwai Nagar (8 points), Harmilap Mission Ratan Lal Nagar-7 points, Sri Sanatan Dharma-6 points, Nurture International Kalyanpur and Sri Ram Public Panki-5 points each.
