MANGALURU: Two children who were reported missing from the CSI Boys Home, Puttur, have been traced in Bengaluru. The 15-year-old boys were reported missing on Monday evening, and a case in this regard was registered at the Dakshina Kannada women’s police station, Puttur.
The police launched an investigation, and CCTV footage was examined. CCTV footage showed the children going towards Puttur railway station. A team of officials, including ASI Chandrahas Shetty and head constable Kumaraswamy, travelled to Sakleshpur, Mysuru and Bengaluru to trace the children.
The details of the children were also provided to the railway police and CRPF, and railway officials. The police were successful in tracing the children at the Bengaluru railway station. The children have been handed over to Childline. After recording their statements, they were handed over to their parents, police said.
