Gurgaon: Police have initiated an investigation after two brothers alleged that they were thrashed by bouncers of a club in Sector 42. The incident happened on October 21, a police officer said, adding that an FIR was registered on Thursday at DLF police station.
However, no arrests have been made so far. The police officer said they received a call from Civil Hospital in Sector-10 on October 21, following which a team was dispatched to the hospital.
“Upon reaching the hospital, two brothers claimed they had been thrashed by bouncers at the club. Their statement was recorded and an investigation was initiated,” said the officer.
Police, he said, initially doubted their allegations and initiated a preliminary probe. Following this, a case was registered on Thursday under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), 341 (wrongful restraint), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code at DLF police station.
Siddharth Kumar (24), a resident of Jind’s Dumarkha, told police that he along with his brother Sahil Kumar and other friends had gone to the restaurant-cum-bar to have food, where his friends had a spat with bouncers over some issue.
According to Siddharth, when he tried to intervene, more than 10 bouncers thrashed him and his brother brutally.
