Karnataka: Education department staff will undergo performance appraisal test
Administrative experience, computer knowledge, and language skills will be learned through the tests
HUBBALLI: The education department has taken a decision to conduct a performance test for Grade C employees. It has been found that many employees lack administrative experience, computer knowledge, and language skills, and this is becoming a problem for the smooth functioning of the department.
The department has issued a circular to conduct the test. Employees have to write a 100-mark test, and every six months tests are conducted.
In the district, 128 employees are attending the test. Submission of files without mentioning the rules regarding the subject matter, improper annotation and spelling errors in the files, and a lack of computer knowledge are adversely affecting the performance of the education department. This test is being conducted to correct this, according to sources.
As per the state education department direction, the non-teaching Group C employees test are being conducted. According to the rules, the employees who have passed all the departmental examinations have been told that the departmental level joint director should conduct an examination for 100 marks every month on performance and subject expertise, and the result should be sent to the authority for announcing permanent tenure.
