Cops booked Mehul Parakhiya and Mayur Tejani for alleged criminal breach of trust based on a complaint lodged by a tuition class teacher, Kishore Pokal.
In his complaint, Pokal alleged that the accused continued the alleged crime since October 2021. The accused duo offered people admission in Canadian educational institutes. They collected money to pay fees on behalf of the students and told the candidates that the fees had been paid through credit card.
After a few months, the duo allegedly got the money they paid as fees back in their bank accounts by cancelling the admissions, but did not return it to the students.
Despite several reminders when the accused failed to return the money, the complainant approached the police and lodged a formal complaint.
