The arrest of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut in a money laundering case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was "illegal" and a "witch-hunt", a special court said on Wednesday while granting him bail in the Patra Chawl redevelopment matter. ‘Court’s oath: to work without fear and favour’
I will get back to work soon. The Shiv Sena’s saffron flag will fly atop the BMC’s headquarters just like it has been flying for the last 30-35 years. Whoever tries to touch it, their fingers will burn. Now we have the Mashaal (flaming torch). Only one Shiv Sena is real, it is Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena and Uddhavji’s Shiv Sena. Only temporary politics is being played out right now, I am taking information.

Mumbai: Sanjay Raut gets bail after 3 months, court calls arrest 'witch hunt'
Calling Sanjay Raut's arrest illegal, without reason and a prima facie indication of a witch hunt, a PMLA court Wednesday granted bail to the Sena MP (61) who has spent around 100 days in jail.
Raut was arrested by ED in a Rs1,034-crore money laundering case linked to alleged irregularities in the redevelopment of Patra Chawl in Goregaon West. Special judge MG Deshpande also granted relief to Sanjay Raut's friend, businessman Pravin Raut.
The judge said the prime object of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act was confiscation and not an illegal arrest.
