Jaisalmer: The issue of blackening of samadhis and idols at the cremation ground of the scheduled castes in Kuchdi village of Jaisalmer over the last few days is now getting heated.

BJP delegation on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the district collector demanding strict action against the accused. BJP district president Chandra Prakash Sharda led the delegation and told the district collector that the police till now have not taken any action against the anti-social elements who had put black paint on the idols on the samadhis due to which there is resentment among the people. He demanded immediate legal action and arrest of these accused.
BJP Yuva morcha national executive member Aaidan Singh Bhati said that there is resentment among the people over blackening of the idols in the samadhis at cremation ground of the scheduled castes in Kuchdi village.
Besides, BJP delegation also submitted a memorandum over the loss in tourism business due to touts and the inconveniences in district hospital.
Bhati said that road, rail, bus and tourist spots are in the grip of touts. In the memorandum the district administration has been asked to take strict action against the touts and to come out with some permanent solution.
BJP officials also informed about the prevailing irregularities in Jawahar Hospital. Sharda said that despite mini rooms being vacant in the hospital the patients of dengue and malaria are being kept in verandas. The sanitation system in the hospital is very bad and they demanded that this be fixed immediately.
District collector Tina Dabi heard the problems and assured action. tnn
