Bhubaneswar: A delegation of Odisha Tourism led by tourism minister Aswini Kumar Patra on Monday participated in World Travel Market (WTM), one of the biggest global travel shows, in London.
“The state’s participation in WTM 2022 will help in promoting the world-class tourism infrastructure of Odisha at the international level,” Patra said.
The three-day event will witness the participation of more than 2,500 exhibitors from more than 100 countries. “The Odisha Tourism stand at WTM 2022 is garnering rave reviews with its focus on promoting eco-tourism, handicrafts and handloom of the state on the global platform,” a government statement said.
The participation of Odisha Tourism has garnered positive feedback owing to its efforts towards pitching the state as a leading tourism destination in the country with its niche tourism products, it said. Patra also visted the Incredible India stand along with his counterparts from Puducherry and
Tamil Nadu, K Laxminarayanan and M Mathiventhan, respectively, and Odisha chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, among others.
