K’taka duo held for scooter theft

Canacona: Two Karnataka natives were arrested by Canacona police for allegedly stealing a scooter at Polem, Canacona.
Canacona police inspector Chandrakant Gawas said that based on a complaint by Tukaram Tari, a resident of Karwar, Karnataka, Manikanath Borkar, 24, a resident of Mundgod, Uttar Kannada, and Sanjay Kumar B R, 24, from Tumkuru were rounded up from a liquor bar near Polem checkpost on Tuesday.
Police later recovered a scooter from their possession, which was allegedly stolen from Polem on November 5.
Police are investigating whether the duo is involved in more theft cases in the state.
