A new course has been launched to improve sustainability in Dubai’s tourism sector, with the UAE readying to host COP28 (Conference of the Parties) Climate Change Conference, at Expo City Dubai next year. It will further deal with climate change for creating a more sustainable and progressive economic future.

The Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) and Dubai Sustainable Tourism (DST), have both upgraded the ‘Dubai Sustainable Tourism’ course that is available on DCT’s pioneering learning platform, Dubai Way.

With a choice of new modules, together with educational segments, aimed on water and energy saving, how to put a Green Team into practice and successful procurement. The much-sought after DCT course will allow participants with the knowledge on ways to put up with and work with sustainable values across the travel and hospitality division.

Dubai Way is a first-rate training platform presenting a broad range of educational and awareness programmes for people working in tourist-facing roles across the tourism ecosystem. Dubai Way offers expert training focusing on history, culture, heritage and customer service, all of which are vital for delivering outstanding experiences for visitors to Dubai.

Since its launch, more than 2,000 students have graduated from the sustainability course, with hundreds more students expected to graduate next year.
