CHENNAI: A man killed his wife in Chengalpet on Saturday night, angered that she was chatting with a friend over phone, and tried to pass it off as an electrocution.
Police detained Ranjith Kumar, 30, of Kazhanipakkam in Madurantakam on Sunday when he was hurriedly trying to bury his 25-year-old wife Sudhamathi's body. Ranjith had called up her relatives and said she was electrocuted while ironing clothes at home and that he was burying the body at once as it was decomposing.
