Nagpur: Veteran politician and multiple time member of Parliament (MP) from Nagpur and Wardha, Datta Meghe, will head the reception committee for the 96th All India Marathi Literary Summit to be held in Wardha between February 3 and 5 in 2023.
The biggest Marathi literary event of the year is being hosted by Vidarbha Sahitya Sangh (VSS) this year to mark the centenary of VSS. The three-day summit will be held at Swawalambi School in Wardha. Meghe’s son and former MLA Sagar will be the patron of the literary summit.
VSS’s president Pradip Date, executive president Ravindra Shobhane, secretary Vilas Manekar and treasurer Vikas Limaye called on Datta Meghe and felicitated him for accepting the post of reception committee chief who acts as a local host for the guests/delegates coming from across the country.
Meghe was born and brought up in Wardha and represented the district multiple times in state assembly and once in Lok Sabha. He has been closely associated with the cultural and literary scenario of Vidarbha. He was a patron of the 2007 literary summit that was held in Nagpur.
Meghe said he is feeling proud to accept the post of reception committee chief and will strive to make this year’s literary summit a memorable event.
