Hyderabad: 3 peddlers held; MDMA & ganja seized from flat

HYDERABAD: Three alleged drug peddlers were arrested and 3.5gm of MDMA and 55gm of ganja was recovered from a flat in Kondapur. The accused were identified as G Arun Kumar, 23, a pharmacy student from Bachupally, P Yashawanth, 24, a student from Panjagutta, and Issac Joy, 24, student from Masab Tank.
Arun Kumar had discontinued B Pharmacy and started peddling drugs. "Arun has been procuring the contraband from Tirupati and Bengaluru for less price and selling it in his circle of friends for higher price," Gachibowli police said.
Recenty, Yashwanth contacted Arun for MDMA and the latter procured 20 MDMA pouches from a Nigerian in Bengaluru, paying 2,500 per pouch. Arun sold six pouches to an unknown person in city and gave 10 pouches to Yashwanth for 4,000, a pouch.
On October 6, Issac and Yashwanth booked a flat in a service apartment at Raghavendranagar Colony in Kondapur toconsume MDMA. Police raided the place and Arun was arrested. A case was booked under NDPS Act.tnn
