JMC-Heritage set to maintain daily log of residents’ plaints
Jaipur: After a few instances of alleged aggression from residents over the delay in their complaints getting resolved, the Civil Lines zone office of JMC Heritage (JMC-H) has decided to maintain a daily log of complaints or requests received from the residents so that they can get timely updates.
Officials from the vigilance wing of JMC-H will maintain the records and coordinate with the departments concerned to give a particular date to residents when their issue would be resolved.
“In the past few days, we have had instances of residents or other members of the society entering our offices and affecting day-to-day work. We understand that residents want solutions to their problems, but with limited staff, it takes time for us to solve the issues or get the work done. We have now decided to deploy officials from the vigilance wing at the office entrance to maintain a log of complaints received each day,” said Kanak Jain, deputy commissioner of Civil Lines zone of JMC Heritage.
The complaints received will be reviewed on a daily basis in the evening and a tentative time frame of a resolution will be given to the residents concerned, she added.
The decision to start a daily log of complaints was taken after an uproar over a notice issued by the authorities on November 4 barring the entry of brokers and lawyers, among others, into the JMC-H offices as they disrupt official work. After lawyers’ associations and many councillors protested against the notice, the order was revised.
