Veteran Kannada actor Lohithaswa no more

Veteran Kannada actor Lohithaswa breathed his last today. The actor, who was hospitalized from the last month, failed to respond to medical treatment. He passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru.
Several Sandalwood actors, directors and producers have expressed their grief over his death. Director T N Seetharam paid tributes to the actor on his facebook page. Lohithaswa has acted in over 500 films in his career. He has also acted in plays and several serials. Lohithaswa who was also a retired English professor is a playwright.
His mortal remains will be kept for public viewing at his residence. The ace actor will be laid to rest at his native village in Tumkur tomorrow.

Lohithaswa who was suffering from prolonged age-related illness had suffered a heart attack while undergoing treatment. In his long career, he has acted in varied roles along with veteran actors like Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan, Shankar Nag and Ambareesh.

The actor who had a distinct voice is said to be around 80 years of age. His son Sharath Lohithaswa is also a prominent actor in Sandalwood
