Jaipur: State minister for rural development Rajendra Gudha, who is an ardent
Sachin Pilot follower, on Monday came out in support of food minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas claiming that the entire power in the Gehlot government is concentrated in the CM and CMO.
Gudha said, “Ministers have no power. Important departments like finance and home are with the chief minister. Even the transfer of constables is done by the chief minister. What Khachariyawas was saying is 100% correct. Ministers have no power.”
Khachariyawas a few days back demanded that the power to write ACR of IAS should be given to ministers instead of the chief minister.
Gudha said many ministers might claim that they fill ACR. “Power is completely centralised. The posting of constables and DGP is being done from the same place,” he said
“The ministers keep making rounds of the CMO to transfer even a constable. Leave aside the matter of filling the ACR. Some ministers pour out their feelings while most of them keep the matter with themselves. Inside everyone sits and weeps,” he claimed.
He said
Rahul Gandhi often talks about decentralaisation of power and attacks the BJP government on centralisation of power. “Rahul Gandhi talks about sharing power. But in Rajasthan, contrary to his thinking, everything is centralised,” he alleged.
He said, “I agree 100% with the pain of Khachariyawas. The issue he raised was right. Nothing is going on for MLAs and ministers. The workers have nothing. The Chief Minister has full power of MLAs and ministers.”
On the question of action against the three leaders who were served notice for indiscipline for holding a parallel CLP meeting on September 25, he said, “It is all up to the high command to decide whether to forgive, punish or reward them. Notices were served to three leaders. Our CM has apologised to
Sonia Gandhi in Delhi. A mistake has been committed and every mistake demands a price, he said quoting Gehlot own words ‘Har Galati kimmat mangta hai’.”
