6 Lightweight Games For Your Potato PC

It's a conundrum for PC gamers sometimes whether their setup can run the games they want to play. It takes certain specs for particular games to run smoothly. Oftentimes, potato PCs have to settle for lightweight games.

But just because a game is lightweight doesn't mean it's no good. Here are a couple of games you can download and play which don't take much out of your rig.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ($19.99)

It was released in 2011, but the game is still wildly famous now. The well-renowned RPG game is also budget-friendly, seeing as it was released more than a decade ago. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of many instances where a game doesn't have to be heavy to be good. There are countless mods you can try out. However, mods will put a strain on your PC. You can still test it out if your computer can handle it.

Don't Starve ($9.99)

You'll be playing its protagonist, the scientist, Wilson. The character will be stuck in a fantasy world, and you'll have to survive before you manage to get out of there. You'll gather wood, plants, and animals, as mentioned in Apptuts

When it was released in 2014, it could already run on any kind of computer. Now, imagine how it will fare with computers these days. The lightweight game functions as a simulation for the life of whatever character you create. The best part is, Steam already made the game free!

In this game, you have to construct a sturdy bridge for both vehicles passing through and under. The challenge is creating the bridge with a certain budget. It has adorable graphics that are easy on the eyes and a great way to pass the time.

As suggested by Extreme Tech, this game will let you play a goose, whose sole purpose is to be a nuisance. Go around bothering both humans and animals, as you control the unapologetic main character bird.

Half-Life 2 ($9.99)

You won't have to worry about whether your computer will be able to take it. It will. The game was released about 18 years ago. You'll play Gordon Freeman, a scientist who aims to correct a mistake he made and save the world. This wildly popular game is still talked about by gamers, despite it being released almost two decades ago.
