Search committee for next UoM VC formed

Mysuru: The state government has formed a search committee to suggest three names for the appointment of a new VC to the University of Mysore. CMR University former VC MS Shivakumar will head the committee. According to the government notification, Shivakumar is the government nominee. Prakash Mani Tripathi, VC, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Madhya Pradesh will be the governor’s nominee. Raghavendra P Tiwari, VC, Central University, Punjab will be UGC nominee. Srinivas Reddy, director, CSIR, Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow will be UoM syndicate nominee. Incumbent VC G Hemantha Kumar is retiring on November 15. TNN
