Jaipur: The crime branch of Jaipur police on Sunday busted a major drug smuggling racket and arrested four accused and seized over 11 kg of narcotics substances.
The police have listed the accused as Mangal Sansi, Sekha Sansi, Mangal Kumar Sansi, and Vinod Sansi. The police said that the accused used to buy ganja for Rs 9,000 per kg from Nagaur. The accused would travel from Nagaur to Jaipur by taking a lift in private vehicles.
“The accused would sell the same consignment for Rs 11,000 per kg. They earned a huge profit on selling these narcotics substances in Jaipur,” the official said.
The Jaipur police also claimed to have seized a car and a scooter that was allegedly used in the drug peddling. “The accused used to sell ganja in secluded corners in Jaipur. They used small packets to pack drugs and then travelled by scooter to sell ganja,” said the official.
The Jaipur police said that the crime branch was keeping a close tab on the suspects involved in selling drugs and came across the role of the five accused.
